Business Systems Analyst - Financial Crimes-W442273

Description

The responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst will be to support investment projects and on-going updates to key artifacts supporting AML portfolio (key applications). This person should have a good understanding of general banking practices such as client on-boarding and account opening for all lines of business (Retail, Consumer Lending, Wholesale and Private Wealth). Will work closely with business and technology departments to articulate integrated business and system/application processes, functional specifications, and participate in client acceptance testing. The candidate will support the development staff in unit testing activities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications -

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in IT development or as a business analyst or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.

• Ability to manage competing priorities.

• Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.

• Experience participating in IT projects.

• Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.

Preferred Skills -
- Hands on experience with writing application and integrated functional design documentation as well as analysis of business processes and working with clients to transform them into technology requirements
- 5 + years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with both functional and technical expertise
- Understanding of bank processes supporting retail, consumer lending, wholesale and private wealth
- Understanding of the client on-boarding and account opening process
- Ability to create Visio process flows and diagrams
- Ability to create wireframe mock ups
- Comfortable with reading technical documentation
- Comfortable with reading SQL scripts and database structures
- Comfortable with understanding data lineage and its upstream/downstream impacts to applications and business processes
- Experience with shared document repository such as SharePoint
- Experience with issue tracking software such as JIRA and/or Workfront
- Good presentation skills
- Good project coordination skills
- Good understanding of client on-boarding including risk assessment and account opening process
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor communications to unique situations and to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project), and Primavera or other project mgt system.
- Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization
