FC Utility Liaison-W443056

Description

Part of the First Line of Defense (LOD) Regulatory Control function as defined in the STI Enterprise Risk Policy.

LOD1 Regulatory Control Analyst: Responsible for analyzing and understanding policy, guidelines, and regulations for a LOB or Function. Reviews, analyzes, and contributes to execution of the LOB/Function compliance tasks that deal with compliance and regulatory issues. Performs compliance reviews relative to external contract compliance; quality control reviews. Analyzes standard reports and identifies opportunities to correct non-compliance.

Provides analysis for one or more components of risk management, such as risk assessment and mitigation, business continuity, vendor risk, and fraud. Reviews documentation, performs testing, and supports remediation efforts in Line of Business. Participates in risk/control assessments on a regular basis to ensure LOB/function meets corporate standards that specifically relate to internal operating controls and risk management. Interprets policy guidelines and regulations for assigned areas within defined policies and procedures and guidelines. Analyzes standard reports and may identify opportunities to correct non-compliance. Monitors and analyzes routine transactions. May be responsible for a small function or serve as a team member in a larger, more complex function.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1 years experience reviewing, reporting and organizing compliance data or business information.
• Demonstrated understanding of compliance concepts and reporting.
• Professional communications and presentation skills.
• Solid PC skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Audit or previous banking compliance experience.
• Understanding of and experience with regulations related to assigned LOB or function (e.g. Investment Banking, Brokerage, HR Employment law, Banking Regs., Technology Security, and Community Development etc.).
• 2 years compliance experience.
