AP Operations Travel & Entertainment Manager-W442842

Description

This role is directly responsible for the daily support of the SunTrust Employee Credit card program within the Accounts Payable Accounting team. This role is responsible for card account reconciliations, analysis of daily data integrated from Workday and First Data, completing daily SOX and operational control processes; including, new account creation and maintenance of active accounts. This role will be expected to collaborate within other SunTrust teams including; Accounts Payable Third-Party Provider, Commercial Card Team, Employee Credit Card Collection Team, IT Support and Corporate Security Teams as needed to gain efficiencies of the iExpense processes. Prepare adjusting entries and GL transactions as needed with compliance to Sarbanes Oxley Compliance and Operational controls. Provides high-level internal and external customer service, with strong written, verbal communication and effective time management.

Performs exceptional data analytics with ability to research complex entries. Ability to monitor service level agreements, monitor and capture metrics, with oversight of services as assigned. Must be able to exercise good judgment and resolve complex servicing issues. Supports creativity and engages in efficiency principles in a fast-paced environment. Drives executional excellence and profitable growth to meet SunTrust objectives, policy and goals.

The ideal candidate can expect to operate in a cross-functional, matrix environment within the Accounts Payable team. The role will play an integral part with the integration of larger projects as assigned and back-up to other Accounts Payable-Accounting team processes and tasks; including systems and processes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

3 years supervisory experience

3 years experience in banking and/or financial service

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Strongly preferred

Prefer 5 + years of work experience in accounts payable or accounting

Working knowledge of operations in banking or related industry
Strong problem solving skills

Basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills

Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable, with ability to achieve desired results

Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking, and ability to be flexible

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently under pressure to meet targeted deadlines and objectives

Ability to create process flows and write procedures

Superior customer service skills, verbal, written and listening communication skills

Strong decision making and judgment required, drive and initiative to develop efficiencies, streamline processes, and exercise leadership

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and PowerPoint

Inter-company process flow and in-depth knowledge of operational processes with Accounts Payable, Oracle R12

Accounts Payable Certification (IOMA or IOFM)

Possible 10% international travel
