Direct Marketing Manager-W443061


The Direct Marketing Manager is responsible for the project management and execution of all demand coming from the assigned line of business in the form of Email, Direct Mail or Digital assets for advertising campaigns to drive applications. The Marketing Manager will review creative briefs, work with the LOBM team and advertising agencies on creative and copy, own the timeline for campaign delivery, own the overarching strategy of the campaign and work with a cross functional SunTrust teammates to execute all campaigns to optimize the SunTrust brand, drive applications and revenue and deepen client relationships.
Own end to end management of all offers for the assigned Line of Business. Liaison with advertising agencies, leading the development, production and execution of each project. Evaluate and define project tasks and resource requirements. Works with ad agency and internal resources to develop project plans, own timelines and deadlines as well as tracking deliverables. Responsible for managing project estimates, commitments, agency fees and pass through costs against the project budget.
Present creative to LOB Marketing, Product Managers and LOB and influence creative approach. Provide each with necessary information to successfully complete the project including, but not limited to, educating others on the effective uses of direct marketing. Additionally, demonstrate an understanding of the business and objectives for each LOB. Continually monitor and report on project process to all stakeholders, managing project changes and updates with both internal stakeholders and agency.
Engage key stakeholders, including LOB, LOB Marketing and Marketing Information Group (MIG) in the planning and resource identification related to list selection, data requirements, and delivery.
Perform with Sound Risk Management principles in every aspect of the role ensuring controls and processes are followed to mitigate and effectively manage risk.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree from a strong undergraduate program in Marketing or Business or related field
4+ years experience with complex direct marketing programs. Experience managing projects in a direct marketing environment. Able to provide articulate, consistent, specific and actionable direction. Project Management in online/offline channel distribution (e.g. Mail, email, digital channels).
Proven experience managing Email, Direct Mail or Digital Campaigns
Must have a solid understanding of the role of direct marketing to address specific business objectives, criteria for judging creative and the elements of direct marketing strategy, design, testing, measurement and planning. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and excellent at task follow up.
Confident in presentations to large and small groups. Ability to view work holistically but with a strong detail orientation, to ensure quality, consistency and alignment. Comfortable working independently or one-on-one with peers and key stakeholders. Proficient with Microsoft Software i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,etc.
Any past experience with Aprimo workflow is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
Advertising agency experience a plus; Banking or Financial Services experience a plus
Possess some level of quantitative and analytical skills to support recommendations on campaigns
Direct Marketing agency or equivalent experience. Financial Services or Mortgage background a plus.
