Default Support Services-W442745


Teammate will support various duties within the Consumer Default Remarketing group with a focus on the repossession and sales workflow process to minimize bank losses.

Description - Responsibilities include:

-Coordinate assignments for skip-tracing with assigned vendor

-Consign repossessed units to auto auctions for resale and help guide the collateral in a timely and legally compliant manner through the process until sold

-Facilitate the process for repossessing and selling mobile home collateral (coordinate any evictions, cleaning/property management support, order appraisals, etc)

-Support management with claim of liens, seizures and other legal notices to protect SunTrust's interest on valued collateral

-May support some insurance claim processes and other assigned duties/projects based on business needs

Monitor, identify, research, compile, and report daily operational data related to specialized transactions, functions, work volume, productivity, and finance and quality issues. Resolve issues related to specialized complex operation functions. Develop recommendations to mitigate control issues, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of department operations, and review findings with management. Responsible for escalation of production issues for quick resolution and understanding and supporting continuous development of systems owned by unit. Assist in the interpretation, implementation and communication of policies related to the operations financial, operational, quality and compliance issues.

Research, analyze & clear operational data within an environment with moderate levels of risk and complexity. Familiar with more then one function within the department and can be successfully assigned across the department. Assist in revising, implementing and communicating policies, procedures, and training materials. Act as a catalyst for change in making recommendations for stream lining functions and processes.


Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 year's banking operations or retail branch banking experience with an emphasis on analytical concepts. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Solid understanding of the reconcilement, balancing process, account review and General Ledger accounting. Demonstrated ability to conduct investigative technical research work in order to mitigate risk to the bank. Position may require knowledge of specific areas of banking regulation. Very strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.

• Very strong oral and written communications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Successful experience with multi-tasking, coordinating and prioritizing tasks -ability to juggle and maintain progress with many assignments that are at varying levels of completion
• Self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills/team player - support peers and their tasks, one Team/united objective
• Strong analytical skills - ability to detect and resolve issues
• Repossession and/or Auto Auction knowledge/experience a plus

Associate degree with an emphasis in accounting/finance or 4 years equivalent relevant work experience in retail banking operations environment. Working knowledge of on-line systems and banking regulations.
