Transaction Analyst - Pillar Finance (A Division of SunTrust Bank) - New York, NY-W442781

Description

Support the transactional flow of production/origination professionals focused on multifamily financing structures through agency (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/HUD) and non-agency relationships.

Responsible for analysis of property and market data utilized in loan sizing and underwriting as well as loan origination lead generation. The analyst will also provide all needed support for both Transaction Associates and Senior Transaction Associates.

• Review and analyze preliminary property financial information for loan sizing based on appropriate agency or non-agency platform lending requirements
• Compare property information to third party market information to determine reasonableness of property operations and loan sizing indications
• Prepare loan sizing recommendations for Transaction Associate's review
• Assist Transaction Associate or Senior Transaction Associate in transaction management: due diligence tracking, collection and process management during the loan underwriting and closing process
• Analyze third party sales, rental and management data for generating leads for new loan (acquisition or refinance) origination
• Perform analytics for ad hoc assignments as determined by Transaction Associates, Senior Transaction Associates, Loan Originators or the Head of Multifamily Production

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, finance, Real Estate, Accounting or a related field
• One to five years of relevant business experience within commercial real estate or the equivalent
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to function under tight time frames
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at the various stages of completion
• Ability to function in a team-oriented setting while showing imitative and ability to work well on your own
• Proven experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Eligible to manage or perform loan origination or servicing functions under Mortgage Investor or government agency guideline requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mortgage or commercial banking
• Experience with commercial real estate development or finance
• Experience in multifamily real estate
• Courses or experience in Real Estate or Mortgage Finance
• Advanced level of expertise with MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint
• Database Management Experience
