Digital Sales Product Manager-W442002


The Digital Sales team is a responsible for driving account growth through the online and mobile channels. The objectives of this team will include (1) developing and executing a digital sales strategy; (2) establishing cross-functional relationships with solution and functional area; and (3) developing a client experience that helps clients and prospects identify solutions and services that meet their financial need.

The Product Manager will have business/sales goals, and is responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic delivery roadmap that supports those business goals. In this position, the person must be able to work at the strategic level (generating innovative digital ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems, and working with delivery teams for development). This position will help monitor and drive the digital business on all aspects of demand, customer experience, and conversion.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in digital technologies including web and mobile using a Scaled Agile development framework. This person should be able to move fluidly between business stakeholders and technology teams to prioritize the highest value items for delivery.

- Define the digital deposit acquisition strategy and roadmaps to improve and optimize online/mobile application processes.
- Incorporate core value proposition for the product lines and fit to SunTrust overall retail deposit product strategy.
- Successfully manage the channel P&L and strategies in line with business plan expectations.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and champion the digital channel vision across the company
- Provide channel performance reporting to senior management on a regular basis that is inclusive of SunTrust performance as well as industry benchmark data.
- Translate analyses into sound recommendations based on data and experience.
- Identify enhancements to streamline and improve the user experience to optimize primary relationship and deposit balance growth.
- Be an expert with respect to the competition, industry trends, and changing customer needs.
- Collaborate and engage key stakeholders, including LOB, Product Managers, STOLI, Bank Operations and other functional areas in the planning and execution of projects.
- Lead and/or participate in the activities to complete projects including business requirement development, communication and training materials for support units, testing/validation activities at launch, measurement and analyses to show success of the project.
- Possess quantitative and analytical skills to demonstrate benefit realization of project and marketing initiatives for the digital sales channel.


- At least 5 years of experience in banking or financial services industry and/or digital/eCommerce products
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to use data analytics, research and testing methodologies to drive business decisions
- Adept at cutting through the clutter of information and focusing on what's most important
- Expertise in understanding and analyzing consumer behaviors, such as online buying factors and drivers of satisfaction, related to financial services products
- Proven ability to use data analytics, research and testing methodologies to drive business decisions
- Possess strong understanding of online services or e-commerce processes
- Experience defining and delivering large-scale online initiatives including requirements gathering, testing and communication planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working independently
- BS/BA (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- MBA or Masters of Science in Computer Science
- Foundational understanding of web technologies and eCommerce, including various browsers and digital marketing tactics
- Experience using web analytical tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Site Catalyst
- Knowledge or experience related to online sales or retail banking
