Consumer Finance Risk Manager-W440784


The Consumer Finance Risk Manager is responsible for supporting internal controls over financial reporting for all of the business activities within the Consumer Segment, regardless of legal entity. The CFRM supports the Consumer Controller Division (CCD) by ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to mitigate the risk that financial statements would be materially misstated. Responsibilities include working with the various Controllers within the CCD, as well as with the business process owners, in evaluating and documenting the material financial processes and related risks and controls specific to those processes, to ensure SOX controls are in place and designed appropriately to prevent material misstatements in financial reporting. Additionally, the CFRM will be responsible for identifying if impacts to the SOX control structure would result from proposed business and vendor changes, End User Computing Tools and Key Financial Applications for SOX impacts, assessing identified issues or SOX control testing failures for impacts to the SOX control structure, and liaising with Enterprise Information Systems and Operational Risk Management teams to identify opportunities to the internal controls over financial reporting for the Consumer segment. The CFRM will report directly to the Consumer Financial Risk Director, and may be responsible for managing and mentoring staff to assist with process reviews as needed.



• Consumer related experience is preferred but not required
• Strong audit or Sarbanes-Oxley controls background
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Capable of working independently to develop knowledge and experience
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables
• Ability to distinguish between operational, compliance and financial risk and determine best practice to mitigate the risk
• Effective time and personal management
• Strong integrated audit background with excellent analytic skills required
• Proven relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate with peers and senior managers
• 4+ years of internal or external audit experience
