BPM Pega Application Architect-W437105

Description

Provides support in the architecture, design, and development of Pega BPM applications and/or process recommendations based on short and long-term IT organization strategy. Will focus primarily on the internal structure of a single application and the integration of multiple applications of moderate complexity. Determines specifications, then plans, designs, and develops software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes-either individually or in concert with project team. Applies in-depth knowledge of Pega best practices and design patterns in designing, coding, testing of solutions. Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. Applies an understanding of key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of straightforward problems. Works under moderate supervision.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Knowledge of multiple information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
• Experience participating in IT projects.
• Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in design and development of Pega applications. Experience translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Knowledge of multiple information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice. Ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents. Experience participating in IT projects. Ability to communicate complex information in simple laymen terms. Has detailed knowledge of Pega constructs such as processes, integrations, and controls. Knowledge of the following: JEE, JAVA Beans, JavaScript, Web Services, SOAP, REST, WebSphere Application Servers or equivalent. Database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and proficiency in PL/SQL. Banking or financial services experience. Prior experience with Agile is a plus.
