Investor Reporting Mortgage Ops Manager-W432841

Description

Summary:

Investor Reporting subject matter expert will be managing and performing Investor cutoff functions including loan level balancing, reporting and remittance based on Investor guideline. Ensure that daily/monthly remittances and Call-ins occur timely and accurately. Work with the team to complete all reporting and remittance functions in a timely manner in order to meet investor deadlines.

Extensive experience in completing portfolio reconciliations by researching and resolving loan level edits/ exceptions and monitor to ensure the outage has cleared. Working with the team in researching and resolving Test of Expected Cash variances with the necessary accurate system adjustments. Working with Cash Accounting/Bank Reconciliation department to resolve P&I account outages. Research loan level discrepancies and track progress of clearing items with internal departments and external investor analysts.

Experience in Loan Sales and Acquisition action plan completion. Submitting required documentation to Investor for servicing sale releases. Reconcile the custodial and general ledger entries to complete acquisition reconciliations.

Evaluate and resolves high priority or complex problems through communication with internal and external business segment. Review and analyzes management controls and reporting to ensure accurate information reported. Identifies areas of financial exposure and ensures that proper controls are in place. Responsible for being in compliance with these regulatory audits- SOX, RegAB-USAP,EY.

Manager is responsible for participation in BKFS/FAC committee meetings. These meetings are an opportunity to improve processes through information sharing with industry peers.

Engage in productive professional interaction with the Senior Management and participate in meetings as required. Perform training of department teammates as needed as well as cross training on Agency and Privates investor reporting functions. Assist with writing and updating PPM procedures. Work closely with business partners on all outstanding issues to insure minimal risk to STM.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent work experience
• 6+ Years experience in a related field of banking operations or retail branch banking
• 3 Years managerial or supervisory experience
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, communications, and analytical skills.
• Strong PC skills to include a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience with Passport scripts, and Monarch models.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, follow up, and expedite all issues daily.
• Experience with project coordination and budget preparation.
• Excellent knowledge of financial industry applicable laws such as: Patriot Act, AML, and BSA.
• Experience with SOX reporting.

Preferred:

• College degree with a focus on Business, Accounting, or 4 years management experience in area of banking operations.
• Functional understanding of systems/applications specific to area of responsibility such as DDA, Mini-host, ImageLink, ACH General Ledger.
• Experience within the SunTrust Banking Operations.
