We have an exciting opportunity for a highly talented, motivated student to join our team as an intern on Sunnova's Human Resources Team. The intern will work with the HR team members, and specifically the recruiting team, to provide our job seekers with an excellent experience with Sunnova. Additionally, this role will give the HR intern an opportunity to be exposed to several of the HR functional areas, like employee culture and engagement, business partner model, employee relations, performance management, HR / Social Media interface and onboarding.


* Primary intern project will be to review and recommend strategies and tactics for recruitment marketing using social media and other internet tools.
* Partner with the comp team to develop an employee recognition program.
* Assist recruiting team in sourcing potential candidates for open postings.
* Support the onboarding process, which may include helping with new hire communications, new hire orientation, and other day-one activities.
* Partner with the Senior Recruiter to help plan and execute activities for the intern program.
* Provide support for mid-year performance evaluation process.
* "Shadow" other HR Team members to learn more about the various HR activities; pitch-in to help with other projects and activities as requested.


* Field of study: Human Resources Management (BS or Masters)
* Must be a "hands on" learner and problem solver
* Demonstrates diligence, with a "can do" attitude
* PC skills; Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, & Outlook. Exposure to HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems will be useful
* Strong service orientation
* Comfortable with the internet and social media.
* Strong organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills
* Team player that behaves ethically, with highest degree of integrity at all times
