Job Description

Children's Justice Center Director

Summit County is currently recruiting a Director for the Children's Justice Center (CJC). Will perform administrative and supervisory duties for the CJC in Summit County and act as a community liaison for the CJC and the County Attorney's Office. This includes public outreach at community events. Must work autonomously while adhering to strict guidelines set forth by the Summit County Attorney's Office. Work cooperatively with law enforcement officials, department of family services, attorneys and other county entities by providing support services. Participate in mandatory state meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, CJC staffing and other required attendances as directed by the Summit County Attorney's Office. This includes public outreach at community events. Must be able to take direction from multi-disciplinary team members and follow through with the direction and assignments given. Must be able to maintain the case management database and prepare appropriate reports and follow-up. Establishes and maintains an environment in which cases of child abuse may be handled in least traumatic environment. Maintain CJC website. Adhere to strict confidentiality regulations. Must have a valid Utah driver's license, submit to and pass a background check, and attend all training as directed by the County Attorney. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include hours outside of regular business hours.

Educations and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in justice administration, sociology, social work, psychology, business management or a related field. Master's degree preferred and four (4) years' work experience performing in Human Services, Social Services, Crisis Intervention, Youth Services, Criminal Justice, Juvenile Court, Advocacy Programs, or Treatment Field. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Salary Range: $48,425.52 - $67,874.60/annually.
