Job Description

Code Enforcement Officer

Summit County is currently recruiting for a full time Community Development/Engineering Code Enforcement Officer. This position performs field inspections and enforces County code provisions and land use laws pertaining to public welfare, safety, public nuisance and structure construction, explains regulations relating to County code provisions including zoning, land use, planning, design review, disabled access and related codes to the public with tact and professionalism.

Minimum Qualification: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration or a closely related field preferred. Two years (2) experience in a planning department with code enforcement emphasis; P.O.S.T. certificate required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Salary Range: $21.65 - $30.33 per hour.
