Job Description

Duties of the Event Planner include:

* Determine staffing plan for events and facilitate recruitment process for Event Staff, if necessary
* Create manual for Event Staff, including emergency procedures and contacts, use of A/V equipment, and other information that may be needed during events
* Coordinate external parties (caterer, beverage provider, linen provider, other)
* Create process for managing catered events, such as providing contact information
* Coordinate internal parties (maintenance, janitorial, security)
* Actively work on bartender recruitment
* Inventory, purchase and control Sites beverage supply, including alcohol
* Staff events or schedule Event Staff for assistance
* Evaluate policies, procedures, contracts and revise as necessary

Special Notes: A criminal background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job.

Qualifications: A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:

* Proven experience in the field of events management
* Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to learn new tasks quickly and be self-motivated
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work on own, as well as in a team environment
* Ability to write professional correspondence
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
* Able to create and execute budgets on a daily, monthly, and annual basis
* Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
* Availability to weekends and late evenings
* Availability to work indoors and outdoors
