Job Description

This intern position will work with the Family Support/Enterprise (FSE) section and will assist on various software development life cycle (SDLC) tasks. Direction will come from the project manager as well as general oversight by the FSE supervisor. The incumbent should currently be enrolled in a college or technical education program focusing on IT, Software Development, or Computer Science, and be looking for work experience by joining an existing application development team.

IT Application Development Generalist Work Assignments

This intern will work on various aspects of application development projects including, but not limited to, the items listed below. Most of this role will be to provide support for work that is easily repeatable. The candidate should be reliable, self-directed, and adaptable as the tasks performed will change based on project priorities and team needs.

* Work with the quality assurance analyst to assist with application testing.
* Assist business analyst with documentation.
* Assist the Project Manager with scheduling and documentation.
* Possibly assist with code development up to interns current ability.
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimally qualified applicants will have:

* A degree (or seeking a degree) in software development
* Experience creating and/or manipulating Microsoft Word and/or Excel in a formal setting

Well-qualified applicants will have:

* Coursework in computer programming
* Previous software development experience (programming, quality assurance, business analysis)
