Job Description

This position will provide the intern with an opportunity to conduct health and safety compliance audits, safety-training programs for employees and ergonomic and other hazard assessments. The intern will also assist state agencies with the development and implementation of their health and safety programs. The position reports to the State Safety Manager. This position requires the ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision. In addition, this position requires a strong sense of initiative and focus, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. The desired candidate will be well organized with attention to detail, as well as the overall picture.
