Job Description

The Facilities Management Department is seeking a customer focused and detail oriented Administrative Assistant to provide daily front desk coverage and support. The incumbent is tasked with serving as the initial point of contact for the Facilities Management Department greeting external clients, Faculty, Staff, Students and Contractors. The selected candidate will be performing a broad range of customer service and clerical tasks to include scheduling building maintenance, accepting applications for facilities usage, assisting with conferences and event coordination and also assisting with special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or a combination of training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of policies and procedures daily. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interact well and establish rapport with external clients, faculty, staff, students and Contractors providing excellent customer service. Excellent attention to detail. Must have excellent record keeping and file management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years experience in customer service in an office setting preferred.
