We are looking for a highly skilled self-motivated engineer to help design our next generation products. This position is located in Portland, Oregon. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates. Rockwell Collins HGS Electrical Engineering is responsible for all electrical engineering tasks related to the design, analysis, test and certification of aerospace head-up display and guidance products, both in the commercial and military fields. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development of an HGS product from initial concept until the introduction into production. Initial responsibilities will include electrical design tasks under the guidance of a Senior Electrical Engineer. Engineers will be developed in high speed digital design, analog design, power supply design, FPGA design, and FPGA verification. Additional skills will be developed in the areas of design-to-cost, design-for-manufacturability, design-for-testability and program execution. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Design digital and analog electronic circuits for HGS products * Define requirements for a new design and develop a requirements specification document * Perform preliminary design including block diagrams, trade off studies, and design reviews * Perform detailed design including schematics, design analysis, breadboard tests, and design reviews * Provide engineering guidance during Printed Circuit Board layout * Perform functional tests and design verification tests * Support electrical qualification tests * Develop support test equipment * Provide troubleshooting support to production * Define production test requirements Qualifications: * A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM program including Computer Science OR other bachelor degree in a STEM program (including Computer Science) that included 12 semester (or 18 quarter) credit hours in mathematics, including differential and integral calculus and applied mathematics and 10 semester (or 15 quarter) credit hours in natural science (biology, chemistry, earth sciences) including physics is required. * US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.
