We are seeking an individual to join a dynamic Software Quality Engineering team leading an ambitious effort to improve software development processes and product quality within Tektronix' Time Domain Business Unit located in Beaverton, Oregon. Our goal is to have superior software testing and process improvement capabilities to support and help define our strategic business initiatives, and to have a continuously improving capability in the future. The success of this effort is dependent on hiring individuals capable of leading this energetic effort, who are able to effective grow and nurture the program, and able to facilitate the adoption and usage of the best industry software development practices.

Responsibilities will include:

* This position involves three primarily responsibilities: tool development, product testing and software process improvement activities. Tool development includes configuring, automating, and supporting open source tools (JIRA, Git, Stash, Jenkins, etc.) in a continuous integration environment with real-time dashboards showing the state of software development. The product testing will include test planning, automated test case development using Python, C, and off-the-shelf Windows Testing Tools, as well as the execution of the tests and technical analysis of the results. This process will include the development of technical documentation, working with and assisting other team members and working with state-of-the-art products and test equipment.
* As a member of the product development team, you will work closely with Software Engineering, Marketing and the Program Manager in these tasks. Software process improvement activities span the entire spectrum of Software Engineering disciplines. You might be working on the development of new requirements engineering processes one day, developing software test plans or cases the next, and writing a paper on how a particular process has increase our time-to-market by the end of the week. This portion of the job includes academic and research ties as we attempt to take best practice and implement it in our organization.



* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* Detailed knowledge of Python, C , and C
* Ability to start full-time as early as January 1, 2016
