Electrical Engineer I, Distribution Engineering R15-406

Perform the functions of an entry-level Standards Engineer by providing engineering solutions to complex problems while minimizing costs and maximizing reliability. Provide engineering expertise in assignments relating to transmission and distribution standards including overhead/underground distribution design, construction practices, street lighting, and materials and specifications. Recommend improvements in the areas of transmission and distribution (T& D) standards, work practices, maintenance, and materials.

Qualifications include:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Typically zero to two years of engineering experience.
Knowledge and experience in operation and maintenance of PGE T& D system desired.
Proficiency to review, evaluate, and analyze technical information, policies, and reports.
Effective in reviewing, evaluating and analyzing semi-complex technical information, policies, and reports.
Basic knowledge of fundamental engineering/economic principles and concepts.
Basic knowledge of applicable policies, rules, regulations, and codes related to electric distribution.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Proficient interpersonal skills.
Basic presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and all levels of management company-wide to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Valid driver's license.
