Working Title: College Intern (PN 20093799)

Ohio Department of Medicaid Internship Program:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a College Intern to join our Analytic Management & Strategic Research team within the office of Data Governance & Analysis. Internships at the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) focus on enhancing student knowledge and experience by providing opportunities for the student to partake in agency projects, organizational needs and specific work assignments that relate to the student's field of study. We offer flexible days, hours and internship duration to meet agency expectations and student's schedule.

Job Duties:

* Assist with statistical analysis and research to support various projects within ODM
* Provide assistance to ODM Data Analysts with research, validating information, finding data anomalies, and other ad-hoc projects within internal (ODM) databases
* Run internal reports for monthly, quarterly and annual processes
* Assist in other areas & projects as needed

Preferred Skills:

* Quantitative research experience
* Knowledge or experience with database/statistical analysis tools (SAS, SPSS, Stata, SQL, R)
* Data cleaning and data manipulation
* Basic understanding of statistics
* Interest in health care & data analytics
* Effective verbal & written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Preferred Majors: Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Computer & Information Science, Mathematics
