Job Description

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire a student intern who will perform research, editing and writing pertaining to the submission of the Mental Health Block Grant application due on September 1. The intern will be responsible to document various measures specifications and processes for the use within DMH and DMH Areas. In addition, the intern will perform analysis with the Director of Quality Management on a variety of DMH programs, including environmental scans and literature reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

* This internship opportunity is for undergraduate student who must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited College or University.
* Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Ability to develop presentations and present to groups and public audiences.
* Ability to work with diverse populations.
* Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.

Period of Service:

May 28, 2019 through August 30, 2019

Additional Information:

* Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.
* All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.
* The salary range for this position is $13.00 - $16.00 an hour.
* Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
