Job Description

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire a student intern who will be responsible for reviewing data focused on suicide attempts and suicide completions of DMH clients over the past five years and will identify trends and training opportunities. The intern will work to develop plan to operationalize zero suicide standards in DMH purchase of service contracted programs in Western Massachusetts Area.

The intern will also assist in operationalizing two completed projects: Community Risk Policy Compliance Tracking as well as the Academic Intern Program. In addition, the student intern will input and analyze fiscal years 2018 and 2019 data regarding recidivism for Vibra Hospital discharges.

* This internship opportunity is for a postgraduate student who must be currently enrolled in a postgraduate program at an accredited College or University.

* Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.

Period of Service:

May 28, 2019 through August 30, 2019

Additional Information:

* Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.
* All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.
* The salary range for this position is $15.00-$19.00 an hour.
* Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
