$19.00 / hour


MDDC has an outstanding opportunity for an individual with a passion for marketing to join our team as we work to expand our user network. The intern will have the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from an experienced marketing professional. The internship, based in Quincy, MA, will be up to 20 hours per week for the summer months with the potential to continue as a part-time position in the fall. The intern will be expected to start no later than the end of their spring semester.

The MDDC is an independent agency within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Council oversees a web-based project and performance management application which is used nationwide by Developmental Disabilities Councils and other organizations to award and administer sub grants, collect data on implementation activities, and generate required federal reports. Primary Job Responsibilities include:

* Conduct market research

* Identify networking opportunities

* Develop new customer contact lists

* Develop and implement social media campaigns

* Create promotional materials

* Participate in team strategy meetings

* Related duties as dictated

* Enrolled toward a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Marketing or a closely related field

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Basic technical and digital skills (video production skills a plus)

* Well organized with an attention to detail and good follow-through skills

* A strong sense of accountability and ownership

* Ability to multi-task and take initiative

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
