This program is intended for ambitious individuals who are looking to jump-start their career in Property Management. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will work under the guidance and mentorship of the General Manager and Property Management Leadership, collaborating in the development and execution of the property's operational strategy. Upon successful completion of the 12-18-month development program, Assistant General Managers will be eligible to advance into a General Manager role at one of our 28 properties located across 16 states. To be considered for this role, candidates must be willing to relocate once the development program is over. This position is located in Strongsville, OH.

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the General Manager and Property Management Leadership, contribute towards the revenue and operational goals of the property by assisting in:

* Coordination of the center's long-term and day-to-day operational activities, including loss prevention, risk management, marketing, safety/security, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal and tenant build-out
* Minimizes risk by monitoring and managing property, tenant and vendor insurance requirements; claims processing; building security; life safety policies, procedures and training; and employee safety.
* Establish and maintain relationships with tenants to improve performance and ensure compliance with company operational policies and lease requirements
* Participate in and be knowledgeable of the center's local, regional, permanent and temporary leasing efforts
* Participate in and be knowledgeable of the center's partnership marketing, sponsorship, advertising, and community event efforts
* Budgeting, reforecasting, and improving net operating income beyond the approved budget
* Administration of the property's budget, financials, sales, traffic trends, occupancy and percentage rent, and other various related reports
* Contracts with outside vendors, including obtaining bids, executing contracts and executing purchase orders. Monitors contractor performance and approves payables.
* Management and development of center personnel
* Participating in "Manager on Duty" rotation as needed, attending staff meetings, coordinating tenant and partner meetings, and upholding other relevant management responsibilities

Experience and Training:

* A Bachelor's degree in business or related field
* An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic with a desire to work in a rapidly changing environment
* Demonstrated leadership qualities such as a strong point of view, initiative, adaptability, and interpersonal savvy
* Perseverance to manage through challenges and ambiguity

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a broad constituency
* Positive, innovative approach to problem solving and resolving issues
* Presents ideas in a clear, concise, understandable, and organized manner
* Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through
* Results-oriented and high energy
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Systems-oriented: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with database systems
* Previous experience in property management or retail is a plus, but not required.
