Job Description

Research Grant Intern (Paid Internship) - The Research Intern is responsible for coordinating and promoting grant-funded research. Responsibilities include facilitating grant proposal development, internal and external research coordination, assisting with research reports, and providing administrative support for grant and research activities. The Research Intern will report directly to the VP of Research, Analytics and Information Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Analyze government RFP opportunities, summarize key findings, and consult with senior leadership team to determine agency fit
* Develop, write, and assemble funding applications to city, state, and federal agencies. Use excellent discretion and independent judgement in presenting program content and outcomes
* Assist with grant proposal development from the initial stages to submission
* Participate in overall grant and research activities working closely with the Senior Evaluation Associate and the Clinical Research Associate
* Work collaboratively with research and finance staff on proposal development and preparation of report materials
* Assure completeness and accuracy consistent with external and internal compliance requirements
* Facilitate and track internal communication and reporting of grant making activities
* Support background literature review, summary, tabulation, and copy-editing as needed
* Conduct research on substance abuse disorder, infectious diseases, primary healthcare, mental health and social service related issues and integrate findings, including statistics, program models, and trends, into work product

QUALIFICATIONS-

* Master's degree in the relevant field preferred.
* Experience working in clinical research preferred
* Prior grant writing experience required
