Staples Business Advantage is seeking a high-energy and competitive candidate who is interested in a position where he or she will be given the opportunity to move quickly into higher level roles in this growing, multi-billion dollar sales organization. After completing an onboarding program early in the first year that equips sales professionals for success, the associate will launch into a sales career, prospecting new business opportunities in the medium/large business sectors (20-200 employees) for a geographic territory with the goal of career advancement in year two. On the Job Training
  • Get practical, hands-on training developed and conducted by top-producing sales leaders
  • Learn techniques to generate leads, win over customers, and ensure customer retention
  • Research and prospect companies and schedule in-person presentations with a company-issued laptop and iPad
  • Achieve activity metrics by initiating relationships with prospective new customers
  • Receive one-on-one coaching and spend time in the office, on sales calls, and participating in team days
    Career Advancement
  • After the onboarding program, advance to responsibility for winning new customers in your territory and setting them up on a business program
  • Initiate relationships with multi-level decision makers through phone, marketing campaigns, in-person contacts, and presentations
  • Work side by side with a team of sales support and product category experts to ensure all of the customers' needs are met
  • Aim toward achieving a promotion to a higher role within Mid Market Sales or within our Commercial

    Basic Minimum Skills
  • High school diploma, college degree preferred
  • Computer proficiency with ability to use a laptop, tablet/iPad, and smart phone
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in a sales or service environment
  • Reliable transportation, ability to lift and carry 5 pounds and more
