Your Opportunity

The role of a Traffic Engineer is to work as a team member on small and large projects ranging from planning/traffic impact studies to final design under the direction of senior staff. The Traffic Engineer will work directly with industry leading multimodal transportation planners locally and nationally as well as established design professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Data collection


* GIS analysis and mapping


* Working with large data sets using spreadsheet/excel analysis


* Analysis and simulation of traffic operations


* Preparation of reports and report graphics


* Preparation of engineering plans and cost estimates



Your Capabilities and Credentials

* Proficient with traffic analysis/modeling software, including Synchro, SimTraffic and HCS


* Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil design/transportation engineering


* Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite


* Basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D


* Familiarity with GIS


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills


* Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team



Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
