Our Community Development group is looking for an Intern for its Mequon, WI office.

Your Duties

The successful applicant will be working with services that include urban design; park and recreation design; multiuse trails and pathway design, landscape assessment and rehabilitation; infrastructure design; feasibility studies; earthworks analysis; drainage studies; storm water management studies; and design of site and infrastructure improvements. We provide efficient solutions that are environmentally responsible, functional, and technically sound. Our structure cultivates career growth and provides opportunities as unique as you are.

Responsibilities include:

* Daily inspection of municipal construction sites for compliance with technical construction requirements under guidance of senior construction management.
* Review plans and specifications for standard or routine requirements and calculate and document materials on the project.
* Complete daily reports detailing inspection results, quantities of materials used, and daily activities.
* Coordinate testing on projects.
* Communicate effectively with construction and engineering staff.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

* Working toward a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
* Experience in AutoCAD.
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Valid driver's license and vehicle.
* Effective user of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Ability to work independently.
