Job Description

* Location: Bangor or Lewiston, ME or Nashua, NH, Remote worksite a possibility

Summary Acts as the direct point of contact between the facility and the locum firm ensuring that the facilities have the provider coverage they need to provide excellent patient care during a time of transition or planned absence. Works directly with Integrated Medical Group leaders to determine qualifications, schedules and duration of the temporary staffing need.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Conducts the intake of locum needs as they arise and informs the locum firm of the specifics
* Receives candidate presentations from the firms and conducts initial candidate screening
* Presents potential candidates to hiring representative and arranges telephone screenings
* Facilitates the logistical requirements of each locums need on behalf of the facilities
* Addresses gaps of the candidate's work history with the firm as they arise;
* Tracks locum utilization, generating reports as needed.
* Processes payments to locum firms, validates charges with appropriate manager, and sends to Accounts Payable with appropriate approval and coding.
* Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry.
* Other duties as consistent with this role.

Job knowledge and skills

* The ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize, a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
* Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Exhibit a high-energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work hours to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.

Education & Experience

* Associates degree required.
* 2 years of recruitment experience, healthcare preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Heart Failure certification is St. Mary's second Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission. In 2004, St. Mary's became one of the first 20 hospitals in the nation to be certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center.
