Job Description

JOB SUMMARY The Student Intern-Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures while under the immediate supervision of a Registered Technologist; performs support services tasks. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:#Current Radiology Technologist student having completed one year (12 months) of the program. Experience: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration:#Successfully passed the examination for limited scope of practice in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for limited x-ray machine operators prior to hire.# BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Military Training Network within ninety (90) days of hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: N/A Experience: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and to lift, move, or transfer patients, records, or equipment; wear lead protective devices for varying lengths of time # LIFTING REQUIREMENTS Up to 10 pounds - Frequently 1/3 to 2/3 (2.5 # 5.5 hours) Up to 25 pounds - Frequently 1/3 to 2/3 (2.5 # 5.5 hours) Up to 50 pounds - Occasionally Under 1/3 (1-2.5 hours) # WORK ENVIRONMENT Typical Noise Level - Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) # WORK CONDITIONS Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or equivalent; one year (12 months) training in accredited school of Radiologic Technology. MN State X-Ray Limited Scope Operator License prior to hire. BLS Certification with a designation of either "BLS Provider" or "Healthcare Provider" from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or "Professional Rescuer" from the American Red Cross only if issued prior to March 1, 2015, or "Military Training Network" within ninety (90) days of hire. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
