Psychologist I Full-time position at the St. Louis City Family Court Juvenile Division Includes Full Benefit Package

Qualifications: 

Must possess a Doctorate Degree (i.e., Ph.D.; Psy.D.) in Psychology. It is preferred that the internship and/or professional training and/or work experience include work with adolescents and children. Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Missouri as a Psychologist.

Salary Range: $55,504 - $85,876 – Includes Full Benefit Package

Class definition:

Under the general direction of the Supervising Psychologist and the Chief Deputy Juvenile Officer of the Special Services Department. Must be able to perform crisis intervention, follow-up counseling and consultation to Detention and Court staff, often with little notice. Must be able to independently perform and write up full battery psycho-diagnostic evaluations, with supervision and training as needed and/or required by law. Must be able to perform psychotherapy with individuals, and families; some latitude and discretion given for particular diagnostic instruments and treatment modalities used. May supervise Interns and Practicum students, and other unit employees, when appropriate. Requires performing regular duties in a secure institutional setting subject to constant video surveillance for purposes of security and the welfare of the detained youth. T
