Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Electrical Engineer to assist in identifying the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute process while performing entry-level activities to design and develop the layout, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures, and tools. Promotes the process of continuous quality improvement and risk management and coordinates solutions for technical and project issues. Apply engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:

- Provides supporting services and tooling at the direction of senior engineers and scientists.

- Lay out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes.

- Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function.

- Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids.

- Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports.

- Documents custom tools with specifications, schematics and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release.

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical's marketplace success:

- Bachelor of Science in electrical/electronic engineering or related engineering field.

- A minimum of six months of relevant work experience in performing the layout construction, and evaluation of a variety of Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures and tools.

- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks.

- Demonstrated personal computer skills and ability to perform basic word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.

Your preferred qualifications and education:

- Manufacturing experience preferred in medical device ( 2 to 3 years)

- Electrical Engineering background

- Exposure to Lean methodologies would be a bonus
