Job Description

The Department of Modern Languages at St. Ambrose University is currently seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach Spanish courses for Fall 2018. Available courses include: SPAN 101, First Semester Spanish and SPAN 102, Second Semester Spanish.

These courses constitute a two-semester sequence that is designed around the acquisition of basic communicative skills in Spanish. Emphasis in these courses is on the building of vocabulary, the development of proper pronunciation skills, the control of basic grammatical structures, and an introduction to the rich and varied culture of the Spanish-speaking world. These classes are taught in Spanish, and class time will be primarily devoted to communicating in Spanish, using the forms and structures that students practice on their own before coming to class. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Master's Degree in Spanish. College-level teaching experience in Spanish is required.
