Job Description

Role Purpose:

Supports the overall positive patient experience by providing assistance in dispensing medications, preparing IV fluids, stocking of automated dispensing units on the Nursing divisions and maintaining adequate inventory in the Pharmacy. All functions are under the supervision of the Pharmacist as part of the students training.


* Creates caring and friendly work environment when communicating with co-workers and customers in a courteous and professional manner.

* Ability to process assigned duties and work independently in an efficient and organized manner.

* Ability to identify emerging issues and communicate them to management in an attempt to provide patient and/or physician satisfaction.

* Maintains and addresses any safety concerns in the department in order to provide patient/employee safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy post high school.

* Registration as pharmacy technician and/or pharmacy intern in the State of MO

* No previous hospital experience is required

* Oral and written communication skills to provide information to patients, Nursing, and the Pharmacy staff.

* Basic computer and mathematics skill
