Job Description

SRA augments the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) staff to develop and implement the integration, consolidation and standardization of the DEERS database into a DMDC-wide central database. SRA supports DMDC in the development and implementation of design and architectural enhancements in support of DMDC initiatives. SRA provides support for project planning, design concept papers, programming procedures, and full scale development programming for DMDC.

Weekly Hours: 40

Work with the government POC directing Java projects. Interface daily with the team lead and possibly government customer. Take and follow direction. Communicate across government agency and contractor personnel alike. Work with configuration management, quality assurance, process improvement and system engineering management. Solid understanding of core Java. Experience
with application servers
Analyzes, debugs, and corrects reported software bugs and enhancements. Updates user and software documentation.
Participates in regular meetings, providing status on current tasks. Participates in peer reviews of software development artifacts Desired: Skills Desired Responsibilities
Experience with Maven is a plus
Secret Clearance
Performs complex analysis, design, development, and implementation of new software procedures, data changes and user requests. Defines and performs unit tests, systems integration, and regressive tests.
Writes system design and application code documentation. Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information.
Works with multiple teams to design, develop, implement, test, and continuously improve software applications, associated databases and websites. Plans, sets-up, deploys, and maintains websites. Manages content areas through applying customizations and assigning user permissions.
Learns a custom application tool and verifies that data loaded can be queried effectively. Collects, maintains, and archives user statistics.
Develops software solutions for enterprise environments using JAVA, C++, J2EE, .NET, SQL, and other technologies. Analyzes and implements functional requirements and designs, implements, and tests software. Performs operations & maintenance (O&M) of existing systems. Identifies areas for improvement and streamlining.
Analyzes data and provides expertise in interpreting results and gathers and documents technical and functional user requirements and specifications.
Researches, writes, and edits technical data for use in documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications
Performs software analysis, including requirements and uses case development and design. Implements and documents source code to design specifications. Performs software testing including developing and running unit tests, drafting, and executing structured test cases.
