Job Description

Ski Instructor Level 3 Trainer 6 Positions. Squaw Valley Ski Holdings, located between Tahoe City CA and Truckee CA, has 6 temporary, seasonal positions available 11/15/2017 to 4/23/2018. Teach and train ski techniques using Professional Ski Instructor Methodology, covering safety and children specific instruction for all levels of instructors. Assist in all operational aspects of the ski school including but not limited to set up of outdoor teaching areas, fitting of ski equipment and general cleanliness of area. Understand and abide by company procedures set forth by our HR department. This is being filed in support of an H-2B application.

Requires PSIA Level 3 cert or international equiv + 3 months experience in same or similar job. This job may also be performed at Alpine Meadows Ski Area, 2600 Alpine Meadows Rd, Olympic Valley, CA 96146. Wage $22.89. Overtime paid at 1.5 times at $34.34. Full time position of at least 35 hrs per week 8am to 4pm. Paid bi-weekly, rate calculated Mon-Sun with only required deductions taken by law. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4ths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Transportation and subsistence(including meals and to the extent necessary lodging) to the place of employment will be provided or its cost to workers reimbursed if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided by the employer if the worker completes the work period or if the worker is dismissed early.

Daily subsistence rates of $12.07 per day of travel with a max of $51 per day will be paid with receipts. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Housing is not provided by employer.
