Job Description

Software Engineers on the IT Tools team are responsible for building the websites and mobile applications that improve the Square employee experience. Our IT Tools engineers build production-quality Ruby on Rails websites and iOS/Android applications in a sandbox environment that fosters education and creativity. IT Tools engineers design, code, and support complete apps and websites that are held to the same high standards as all of Square's products.

You will work on:
- Full Stack Websites: Build whole websites that will help make being a Square employee enjoyable, using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript.
- Design: Implement pixel-perfect designs that meet Square's high standards.
- Mobile Apps: Use Swift and Java to build beautiful mobile applications that Square employees will use every day.
- Personal Growth: Expand your server and client experience as you take on whole projects, not just small features, in a comfortable environment.
- New Technologies: The IT Tools team at Square is always experimenting with new ways to improve our office experience that have never been tried before.

You have:

- Pursued a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related technical field, graduating between December 2015 and June 2016 (or equivalent practical experience).
- Programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages, including: C, C++, Objective-C, Java, Ruby, Scala, Go, and/or Python
