Job Description

Job Summary

This position performs entry level Design engineering activities including learning basic transformer principles, analyzing accuracy of design programs and understanding product flow. There is a strong focus on the design process incorporating all stages of the project.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Prepare presentation demonstrating basic transformer knowledge
* Create simple transformer design
* Observe a formal design review
* Ascertain the basic manufacturing flow of the product

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Must have good communication skills - oral and written
* Good computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office, programming
* Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts
* Ability to work independently or on a team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Junior standing
* Must have completed entry level Power Systems course
* Completion of basic Physics and Differential Equations courses

Preferred Education / Experience

* Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred
* Prior design experience preferred
