Works with key partners within the eCommerce team to conceptualize, develop and implement rich on-site and off-site experiences meant to drive engagement, conversion, sales and brand awareness.
Participates as a specialized knowledge resource in established processes. Suggests improvements to business processes and independently completes small sub-projects within a defined course of action. Will organize specialized and defined information for review. Tends to reference documented process and practices and learnings from previous experience to address challenges. May handle more common complex challenges but escalates situations that have not been encountered previously. Most decisions are based on prescribed and dictated guidelines. Knowledge of theory and practice will assist with the ability to interpret and determine next course of action that may deviate from the norm. Position Responsibilities
55%: Design, develop, test and evaluate interactive, tools, banners and web sites from storyboards through final deliverables. Use industry best practices & site analytics to combine the art & science of how a customer interacts with a website or digital media to optimize the customer experience. 20%: Partner with the business to ask in-depth questions to ensure complete understanding of the business objective. Identify possible solutions. Document objectives & solutions. 10%: Use site analytics post-launch to determine success of design in solving a business problem. Share possible adjustments to design to improve performance. 10%: Present solutions that have gone live, evaluate performance & share recommendations on future adjustments. 5%: Share feedback on process needs or pain points in development lifecycle - with the goal of informing process improvement.
3-4 Years of experience in a related field. Undergraduate degree in programming required. Functional expertise in HTML, Flash, XML, etc. 1-2 years of experience in a UX/UI-related position.

The Sports Authority, Inc. (TSA) is a sporting goods retailer company. The Company operates its stores under three principal brand names, Sports Authority, Gart Sports and Sportmart. TSA's merchandise is classified into two categories, hardlines or softlines. Hardlines include items like skis, golf equipment, bicycles, exercise equipment and outdoor gear, including camping, hunting and fishing. Softlines consist primarily of apparel, footwear and outerwear. During the fiscal year ended January 28, 2006 (fiscal 2005), TSA operated 398 stores in 45 states. The Company's 75% stores are under the Sports Authority nameplate. Majority of its stores are superstores, which typically range in size from 30,000 to 45,000 square feet. Generally, 80% of the store space is dedicated to selling while 20% is used for office and non-retail functions.
