Job Description – Sales Assistant - Inside Sales Representative



  • Maintain existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction with fast paced and professional service.
  • Prospect and develop business, respond to customer inquiries, understand customer testing and certification objectives, guide customers on regulatory requirements, develop quote accordingly to win business and scope projects accordingly. 
  • Place and receive calls from customers regarding sales/service issues and make timely introductory and follow up calls/emails upon receipt of RFQs and PO’s. Execute consistent outbound approach making outbound calls daily and logging all activities.
  • Generate quotations for compliance & conformance testing, international approvals and product certifications; collaborate with PM to assign projects when POs in place and request invoices from accounting upon project completion.
  • Serve as liaison among customers, project managers and engineering team from Pre-sale to completion & delivery of service.
  • Support the management of orders including: regular status/schedule updates to customers regarding their on-going projects, change orders, invoices, business communications, etc.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders within or outside of company to complete the assigned tasks on a timely manner. (Sales, PM, other company locations and customers).
  • Follow up with customers on new orders for testing & certification services. Place additional calls when merited until test reports & certifications are submitted to customers with their complete satisfaction.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets – monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Work closely with outside sales to create and serve new and existing customers,
  • Learn and sustain up-to-date knowledge on new services, procedures, and tools by participating department meetings and training sessions.
  • Establish short and long term goals in line with sales quota and corporate objectives
  • Follow up with customers during and after their projects to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Understand competition in region and general business environment.
  • Other management assigned tasks that pertinent to company business.



  • Experience in Hi Tech consumer product sales & customer service preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (phone, listening and writing skills) and demonstrated sound business judgment is required. 
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Must be a self-starter & a fast learner with the ability to work independently in a high-energy and fast-paced team environment.
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook), database, and Internet research skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow instructions thoroughly.
  • Fluent in English and prefer bilingual with additional language skills such as Chinese, Korean, or Japanese
  • Inside sales or Customer Service experience in the international regulatory compliance is a plus


  • High School Degree required. Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a sales, customer service or related fields.
  • Testing, Inspection and Certification industry knowledge a plus.
  • Must be capable of meeting time sensitive deadlines.
  • Must have customer-service oriented mind set.
  • Experience in developing quotations, booking orders and business agreements
  • Interest in science, new technology, and learning new skills
