Reporter - Breaking News
The Spokesman-Review is currently seeking to fill a full-time Breaking News Reporter. This position will cover breaking news in the afternoon and evenings.

What you will do in this position:
•Write clear and concise breaking news copy on deadline.
•Ensure fairness in stories and check for consistency with previous stories as needed.
•"Discuss coverage with photo department and section editors.
•Post news to website, adding relevant links and photos, and use social media to help our newsroom's mission.
•Coordinate coverage with photo, copy desk and page designers.

Qualified applicants will be able to:
•Work in a manner which is collaborative, detail-oriented and result-driven.
•Meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
•Work effortlessly in Windows 7; experience with NewsGate is preferred, but not required.
•Post stories to social media sites.
•Communicate effectively and efficiently.
•Applicants have a Bachelor's Degree plus one to two years related experience, or equivalent related work experience; or combination of education and experience.
