Avionics Integration Engineer

Overview:
As an avionics integration engineer on the Dragon avionics systems and integration team, you will be responsible for the Dragon spacecraft avionics system integration and test. You will design flight harness schematics and test equipment. You will build a spacecraft by leading electrical integration and test operations on the flight vehicle. Through the integration and test campaign, you will ensure the Dragon vehicle is ready for its flight to carry crew and cargo to the International Space Station and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Represent the Dragon avionics system in vehicle-level cross-disciplinary trades and issue resolution Design electrical harness schematics for flight and test applications Design and build test equipment to support vehicle integration Write and execute electrical test plans and test procedures for the Dragon flight vehicle Lead ground test operations during the electrical integration and test campaign Design and build system testbeds to support software testing on flight-like avionics hardware Review test data and lead anomaly investigation and resolution Verify avionics system test coverage on flight or flight-representative hardware Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, science, or math Candidates must have at least 2 years of combined project experience in the electrical engineering field; significant academic projects, internships, and traditional professional experience all qualify Preferred Skills and Experience:
Desire to quickly learn, design, build, and test complex systems Strong sense of accountability and integrity Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere Competence with electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies) Knowledge of and experience in analog to digital and digital to analog converters, power supply components and design, analog testing/troubleshooting techniques, and signal integrity, layout and grounding principles At least 1 year of hands-on experience in electrical design and troubleshooting At least 1 year of experience in computer programming language (Python or C++ or equivalent) Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight Strong work ethic and drive to succeed Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Requirements:
Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time in support of launch and test activities ITAR Requirements:
