Job Description

Position: Occupational Therapist (PRN)

The Occupational Therapistevaluates and treats a wide variety of injuries, diseases and disabilitiesusing Occupational Therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with rulesand regulations of this facility, the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, andrules and regulations established by the State of Nevada, Board of ProfessionalRegulations. Must be able to demonstrateknowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patientsserved in his/her department. Must demonstrateknowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span andpossess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status andinterpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient'srequirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and to provide the careneeded and described in the department's policies and procedures. The Occupational Therapist will provide goaldirected treatment program planning/implementation, related documentation andcommunication for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patientpopulations who will receive treatment without regard to race, color, sex,religion, or national origin.

Education: Bacheloror Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in accordance with regulationsby the Nevada State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Experience: Oneto two years' experience in clinical setting preferred. Entry level graduates will be considered.

Licensure: Stateof Nevada

Certification: BasicCardiac Life Support (BCLS) upon hire.
