The South Plainfield Board of Education located in Middlesex County, NJ, a Kindergarten through 12th grade school serving 3368 students, is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for the full time position of School Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The position is available July 1, 2018. 


  • Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility 
  • Understanding of the principals and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures and GAAP requirements 
  • Proficient at business practices in school districts related to budget preparation, administration and health benefit issues 
  • Experience with State reports/grants: ESEA, IDEA, SNEARS, ASSA, and DRTRS 
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with school plant operations, construction and facility planning, custodial and maintenance services 
  • Skilled with Board of Education procedures and policies
  • Proficient with Systems 3000 a plus
