Environment Artist Intern

San Diego, CA


* The Environment Artist Intern will assist with various environment art tasks such as creating environment assets, adjusting model topology, world building assistance, creating documents, helping to create documentation, and preparing outsource packages.


* Portfolio: Interns should display quality samples of their work that could feasible appear in a PS4 game. Portfolios should be generally easy to access, navigate, and evaluate. Please note and differentiate the use of Megascans, Unreal Marketplace, Turbosquid, and your role in any group work. We look for high aesthetic, believable pieces, consistency, and good presentation. Full environments in Unreal, Unity, or a similar game engine is ideal, along with any parts and pieces used in its creation.
* Communication: High degree of communication skill. Interns should be dedicated, communicative, and outgoing.
* Attitude: Interns should have a good attitude about learning, excitement to work at PlayStation, take direction well, and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
* Software knowledge: Zbrush, Maya and Photoshop required, knowledge of Substance Designer/Painter, Max, Unreal, Marvelous, Marmoset, Nuke, and Unity are all a plus.
* Highly organized with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced game development environment
