Job Description

SCEA R&D is looking for an individual contributing to product level development of systems libraries for PLAYSTATION®4. The position comprises design and implementation of C / C software intended to support Voice over IP, multimedia input/output devices such as audio and microphones, 3d audio, and virtual reality. The software will provide the foundation of an SDK or technology targeted for other developers of the platform such as game developers. This position includes direct contribution to the PLAYSTATION®4 product development and communication with internal and external development partners.

A successful candidate will have skills/experience in one or more of the following areas:
- C/C programming
- Code efficiency, performance optimization
- Knowledge of audio
- Familiarity with audio tools used in game and media production
- Familiarity and ability to use game development middleware

This is a junior entry-level software engineering position in a product
development environment. The candidate should be familiar with C/C
programming and at least one set of software development or IDE systems.
Familiarity with source control systems and issue tracking tools or
Specific experience with Subversion, gcc, Visual Studio, and ProDG tools
is a plus. Knowledge of relevant technologies in audio, consumer
electronics and the computer game industry is an advantage. The
candidate is expected to demonstrate self-motivation and manage their
own programming schedules.
