PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER
(Water Resources)
We are the Nation's 12th largest public utility, serving over 341,000 electric customers and 20,000 water customers with a work force of over 1,000. Our service territory covers over 2,200 square miles, including all of Snohomish County and Camano Island and is located just north of Seattle.

Salary $89-749 - $123,405


BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical specialist in the application of advanced engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes for the District's water facilities. Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates technical work of a team of in-house and contracted engineers and technicians on specific projects. Coordinates special studies, analyses, reports and recommendations related to facilities life cycle, operation, and disaster response. Serves as Project Leader on medium to large projects and assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;
and
- Six (6) years related engineering
experience with two (2) of those
years as a Lead or Project Engineer.
- Washington State Professional
Engineer License or ability to obtain
through reciprocity.
OR
- Ten (10) years directly related engineering experience, five (5) of which are performed at an electric or water utility.
- Washington State Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Civil,
Mechanical, or Environmental
Engineering
- Experience in the construction of
water capital facilities, hydraulic
modeling, and asset management.
