Job Description

Job Summary: A Uniform Exempt Employee. After successful completion of Six Flags and St. Louis County Training, your responsibility will be to apprehend shoplifters through surveillance methods. Issue appropriate action, and lastly write reports of your finding and conclusions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate key understanding of company policy and St. Louis County/City Criminal Code
* Conduct shoplifting surveillance and shoplifter detention while maintaining a safe work environment
* Investigate scalping and Evasion cases as assigned
* Conduct procedural audits in all departments to verify compliance with park operating procedures
* Maintain a self-motivated work ethic to follow through on cases
* Appear in court as needed to testify in Loss Prevention and/or Security related cases
* Other Duties as assigned by Loss Prevention Management and/or Corporate Loss Prevention

Skills and Qualifications:

* Must possess a valid driver's license
* Must be at least 21 years old
* Must be able to pass a background screening
* Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related Field
* Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time as assigned
* Ability to work for extended time periods in extreme weather conditions
* Ability to maintain elevated levels of concentration for extended periods of time in distracting conditions
* Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations
* Ability to utilize current technology including, but not limited to, video and surveillance equipment
* Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal, and customer service skills
* Must be able to work independently as well in a group when needed
* Strong observation and analytical skills
* Willingness to appear in court when necessary
* Must work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Access, and Excel
* Good organizational skills and detail oriented

Candidate must provide a Letter of Commitment by March 1st, 2020. Must be able to make the mandatory commitment from May 2020 to August 2020.
