What does an Human Resources Generalist do for Sitel?

An Human Resources Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, benefits, compensation and employment.

We are looking for an Human Resources Generalist to strengthen our existing Human Resources team. You will provide Human Resources advice and support to our multinational Customer Service representatives in Porto. You will need to be proactive, able to perform a wide variety of tasks and be passionate about adding value to our business partners. You will join our rapidly growing and successful company, in a fast paced role and exciting environment.

  • Work closely with the business to create an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Work closely with your manager and Human Resources colleagues, to contribute to Human Resources projects, and provide ideas and suggestions.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Handle employee requests regarding human resources issues;
    • Regulations
    • Complaints and grievance procedures
    • Compensation and benefits
    • Employment law
    • Employee relations

What do I need to be an Human Resources Generalist with Sitel?

  • Full working proficiency in Portuguese                  (C2 minimum)
  • Full working proficiency in English                            (C2 minimum)
  • Relevant work experience and/or education      (Target 12 months)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills


Bonus Skills

  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of and experience in the contact centre industry
  • Knowledge of labour law
  • Proficiency in other major European languages
